Study after study supports my Younger (Thinner) You Diet that eliminates white foods. One of the main tenets of the Younger Thinner You Diet is to focus on colorful foods, and abstain completely from “white”: white bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc. Our society eats too much white flour and sugar. Our bodies were designed to eat foods that are natural and unrefined, including whole grains, vegetables, fruits, fish, herbs and spices. When we stray from what the body requires and consume factory-made foods that are loaded with chemicals and devoid of nutrients, our bodies deteriorate. These foods are all high in starch and low in nutrients. They will add pounds to your waistline, and now we know that they will take off years of your life. In light of the recent research, a diet of white bread, rice and pasta is another risk factor. [...] Read the rest of this post »

I have heard many complaints from patients concerning skin. Skin can boost or break a person’s confidence: no one wants to go out fearful that all others will see is the acne on his or her face. For this reason, many are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for the best skin cleansers and creams, and while skin care products can be beneficial, sometimes the cure is further than skin deep. Both of these factors lessened her ability to orgasm. However, none of this was her fault. Her brain was becoming chemically imbalanced, and her body was getting older than her actual age. How does this happen, and what can we do to stop it? [...] Read the rest of this post »

Good sources of soluble fiber include oats, beans, dried peas, fruits, vegetables and legumes. Insoluble fiber is not digested by the body, and it also promotes regularity and softens stools. Wheat bran, whole grain products and vegetables are good sources of insoluble fiber.
