Here is what you can expect on your initial visit to PATH Medical:
You arrive at our facility and are greeted. You are then escorted to our Patient Liaison (Susan) for a brief orientation, and then introduced to a Physician’s Assistant (PA), who will coordinate your medical assessment.
Blood and urine samples will be taken early on, as those tests are usually fasting tests (done on an empty stomach). Next is a discussion about your medical conditions, past medical and family history, as well as a brief social history (marital status, offspring, etc.), followed by an EKG (electrocardiogram), PFT (pulmonary function test), and tests conforming with Dr. Braverman’s protocols that your health status and objectives dictate: a brain health checkup (The Brain Electrical Activity Map—BEAM—part of this assessment requires the application of a conductivity gel to your scalp for the sensors, so do not schedule important meetings right after your visit); ultrasound scans; DEXA scan (bone density/body fat composition); vascular assessment; and nerve conduction studies. (Executive Health Program patients receive a full battery of anti-aging tests over one or two days.)
The PATH Medical Approach
Dr. Braverman believes that early detection can improve your quality of life and add years to your lifespan--and it might even save your life.
The only way to detect something is to look for it. In service to your total health and wellbeing, the dedicated medical staff at PATH Medical will recommend every test that might be valuable for your diagnosis and treatment. Each test confirms a suspicion or eliminates it from further investigation. Either way, it is immensely valuable to your immediate care and to your long-term outcome.
Of course, everyone must live in the real world. If you are working with limited resources, recommended tests will be prioritized with the critical ones done first and the others saved for a subsequent visit. If the medical staff recommends a critical test that is beyond your immediate means, support personnel will discuss programs that can accommodate your needs.
As Dr. Braverman says, “You are only as young as your oldest part.” He is committed to finding it before it finds you. If you match his commitment, you will get the healthcare—and the result—you deserve.
At the conclusion of your visit you will have a consultation with one of our doctors and/or with Dr. Braverman, followed by a review of supplements and products that are appropriate for you, and a post-visit discussion/Q&A.
