Dopamine Boost Diet

If your dopamine nature has been diminishing or if you are trying to achieve dopamine nature, try this 3-day Dopamine Boosts diet, based on the Rainbow Diet concept (see chapter 8 for more details on the Rainbow Diet).

DOPAMINE SYSTEM (Brain Energy) - Phenylalanine/Tyrosine
Focus on high protein, low fat foods. Drink coffee and tea (moderate amounts).

Day #1
BREAKFAST: Recommended between 7 and 10 am.
2 soft boiled/ poached eggs with spinach and raw garlic, add some seasonings for flavor. Finish with cup of green tea with lemon and equal.
LUNCH: Recommended between 12 and 3 pm.
4-6 oz of sardines or other fish with multicolored vegetable salad. Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil with balsamic vinegar and some seasonings. Finish with iced tea with lemon and equal.
DINNER: Recommended between 6 and 8 pm.
Lamb stew (seasoned with herbs) with brown rice, grilled asparagus, carrots and onions. Berries mixed in plain yogurt for dessert. Finish with cranberry tea.

Day #2
BREAKFAST: Omelet with roasted turkey and fresh radishes. Finish with coffee with cinnamon.
LUNCH: Tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread with lettuce, tomatoes and onions. Finish with fresh squeezed grapefruit juice.
DINNER: Start with beets and apples salad with 2 oz of goat cheese and balsamic vinegar. Grilled chicken breast, steamed snow peas with red beans and corn. Finish with ginger tea.

Day #3
BREAKFAST: Sardines with mixed lettuce. Plain yogurt with mixed berries, almonds and walnuts. Finish with earl grey tea.
LUNCH: Oven baked salmon on a garden salad with olive oil and vinegar with few whole wheat or rice crackers. Finish with green tea.
DINNER: 4-6 oz of lean steak or veal with steamed green beans, toasted almonds and cranberries. Finish with a glass of red wine.

HEALTY SNACKS: 2 oz of cottage cheese with grapes. Plain yogurt with nuts and berries. Soft boiled eggs with some baby carrots. Green apple with 2 tablespoons of almonds. Rice or whole wheat crackers with guacamole dip.
